About the GoodSAM Emergency Kit Register:
GoodSAM provides the world's most advanced emergency resource mapping system. We do this in partnership with national organisations and emergency services that help maintain the register and correct issues if there is a problem.

We also map mobile resources (e.g. responders who carry an AED, bleed kit or naloxone). These responders are not shown on the publicly accessible map above.

GoodSAM's Emergency Equipment Register has a few key principles:
- All data is open access i.e. anyone can look for resources near them.
- Data belongs to the local emergency service / authority for that region.
- This data is restricted in terms of location (i.e. bad actors can't plunge the data and then try to sell new kit to well-meaning guardians)
- GoodSAM does not sell any kit so has no vested interest in this data other than ensuring those responding to emergencies know where kit is.

So long as the kit is in a fixed location and publicly accessible (even requiring a PIN code), please register it on this page.

Access to information about emergency kit should be open. Therefore, anyone can search for it. We also have a duty to protect the guardians of emergency equipment from those who sell emergency equipment scavenging data and then spamming them. Therefore, access is restricted based on number of / location of requests. Sorry. If you're worried about this, maybe you have a vested interest? If you have a genuine reason, please get in touch.

Yes, but not on this static map. If you are a responder, you can select "I have defibrillator / Bleed Kit / Naloxone and/or EpiPen" from the "Me" page in the App. This means emergency services know you carry kit and can alert you to specific emergencies if they wish.

In the UK, we run this in partnership with the Royal Life Saving Society. You can get in touch with us or them. More details here: https://www.rlss.org.uk/goodsam

There is no defined content. We very much appreciate the good intentions of bleed kits. We are also pragmatic however and unlike an AED (which is required to treat someone in an abnormal cardiac rhythm), a bleed kit is not required to treat someone who is bleeding. We advocate the much greater knowledge of how to manage bleeding (use clothing / cloth and press hard) and the use of instant on scene video to guide bystanders. We are part of a join position statement with London Ambulance Service, the NHS London Major Trauma System and NHS England London Violence Reduction Unit here: https://www.c4ts.qmul.ac.uk/downloads/bystander-skills-position-statement-final-august-2024.pdf
